Shivangi joined Photonic Systems Group at Tyndall National Institute as a Marie Curie Sparkle fellow under the mentorship of Prof. Paul Townsend. She will be working on designing a low cost, power-efficient integrated transceiver solution for access networks using spectrum slicing technique. Her research interests include silicon photonics, optoelectronics, optical fibre communication and Nano photonics.
Shivangi received her PhD degree from IIT Bombay where she worked on Silicon Photonic Integrated Circuits for short reach data centre interconnects. Prior to her PhD, she had a professional stint as a process engineer in fibre fabrication at Sterlite Technologies.
