Amit joined IPIC at Tyndall National Institute, as a Marie Curie Sparkle fellow under the supervision of Dr. Stefan Schulz to work towards developing a multiscale simulation framework for III-Nitride based UV light emitters.
Amit completed his PhD in November 2019 from Manipal University Jaipur, India in the area of semiconductor modelling and design and Master’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Shiv Nadar University, Greater Noida, India. During his PhD he worked on the theoretical design and optimization of infrared semiconductor lasers with enhanced optical properties using III-Sb based material systems.
Amit began his professional life as a Project Engineer at Wipro Technologies, Bengaluru in 2010. His academic career began as an Assistant Professor (ad-hoc) at CIC, University of Delhi in 2014. He joined the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Manipal University Jaipur, India as an Assistant Professor in May 2015.
