Amna Tiwana joined Tyndall in 2023 as a PhD researcher in the Photonic Systems Group, her project is titled “Advanced DSP Technology for High-Speed Optical/Wireless Access towards Future 6G Networks”, under the supervision of Dr. Xing Ouyang, Prof. Paul Townsend and Prof. Holger Claussen. The focus of the research is Physical layer design and algorithm development for the potential candidates of high-speed next generation communication systems.
Amna received her Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from National University of Sciences and Technology, Pakistan (2020). She collaborated with the Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research (CAIR), at University of Agder, Norway, (2021-22) as a visiting researcher.
